 Sharing and Caring Project Extended!

 We have just recieved word that our project, expected to end in March, has been extended to July 31, 2006! This is great news, as it allows us to include the data from the January Education Sessions, and explore hosting another session in the summer.

Session Rescheduled to June 2 and 3

 Session times are from 2-7 pm, which encomapsses the education, dinner, and evaluation. June 2 will be in Timmins at the new Health Coalition Building, and June 3 will be in New Liskeard at the Green Tomato/Travelodge.

Positive Response from Kirkland Lake Physicians

In what may have been the fastest presentation of my life, I outlined our Sharing and Caring project to 10 Physicians at the Kirkland and District Hospital on the morning of Friday, December 3rd. The response was very positive!

Collaboration with OCFP

The Ontario College of Family Physicians has a program called the Collaborative Mental Health Care Network. They have CME-accredited education modules completed, and have agreed to work with us in modifying them to fit our Project. Good to have you on board, OCFP!

Nurse Runs Successful Flu Clinic

Our Nurse, Lynn Lamarche, administered the flu vaccine to 74 consumers and staff last week. Good work on providing this important service right in the CMHA offices, Lynn!
